THE BIBLE IS OUR Authority

WE BELIEVE that the LORD is the One True God, the Creator of all that is, One Being

eternally existing in three distinct and co-equal persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, truly Divine, and the Virgin

Born Son of Man, truly Human; that He existed uncreated with the Father before time began,

was born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, and died, shedding His blood on the cross as

The Sacrifice for our sins to redeem us from the wrath of God; That He was buried but rose

bodily from the dead on the third day, and ascended to the Right Hand of the Father, where He

ever lives to make intercession for us.

WE BELIEVE in the Holy Spirit, Who convicts sinners of their sin and Who regenerates and

lives inside all Christians, empowering them, as they yield to Him, to live lives pleasing to

Christ, to confess and forsake their sins, and to tell the lost of God’s saving love.

WE BELIEVE that Adam was created by God in His own image, by direct creation, not an

evolutionary process; but that because of Adam’s sin, all his descendants, the whole human race,

have become sinners, condemned in the eyes of a Holy God, naturally inclined to do evil, unable

to please God or meet His holy standards, and separated from fellowship with God. Although

fallen and broken, the fact remains that mankind is made in the image of God, and thus every

human life is sacred and worthy of protection from conception to natural death.

WE BELIEVE that a person is saved from the condemnation of sin, and adopted into the family

of God, when he, repentant of his sin, believes on the Lord Jesus Christ, entrusting Him to be his

personal Savior. This salvation is accomplished by Christ Alone, because of Grace Alone, and is

received through Faith Alone. Christ begins a sanctification process in every believer so that they

are a new creation in Christ, and are gradually being saved from the power of sin; however,

sinless perfection will not be attained by any believer until they are glorified with Christ in

heaven.

WE BELIEVE in The Church, made up of all who have been saved by faith in Christ; and that

God has established local churches to preach the gospel, make disciples of all nations, and

encourage each other to obey Christ’s commandments; that believers should be baptized by

immersion as a testimony to what Christ has done in their lives; and that believers should

celebrate the Lord’s Supper in remembrance of Him until He comes. We believe in fellowship

with other churches that hold to the fundamental doctrines of our faith, and separation from those

that oppose the gospel. Under God’s Word and Spirit, the local church congregation, rather than

any man or committee, is the final repository of Christ’s authority on earth. No individual should

be compelled to worship against his or her will, and the church should not be financially

supported or controlled by the State.

WE BELIEVE in created spiritual beings: Good Angels, who do God’s will; and Satan, the

author of all sin, who, with his Demons, opposes God.

WE BELIEVE that upon death the spirit of a believer is instantly consciously present with Christ

in heaven; upon death the spirit of an unbeliever is instantly consciously present in torment in

Hades. We believe Jesus Christ will come again for His Saints; the dead in Christ shall rise first

and then we which are alive and remain shall meet Him with them in the clouds to be ever with

the Lord; we believe that the lost will be raised from the dead in the last day; that everyone’s

work will be judged by Jesus Christ—the lost for degree of punishment, the saved for degree of

reward; that the eternal punishment of those without Christ is to join the Devil and his angels in

the lake of fire, where each one will suffer consciously to the degree of his own sin; while the

eternal reward of the elect, those saved by Christ, is to live and reign forever in eternal

fellowship with the Triune God in Heaven.

WE BELIEVE that the Bible is the perfect and complete Word of God; that every word of it is

inspired by God, all of it was written down without any errors by its original writers, and that

God has preserved it in its entirety for every generation including ours today.

WE BELIEVE that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female.

These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God.

Rejection of one’s biological gender is a rejection of the image of God within that person.

WE BELIEVE that term “marriage” has only one meaning and that is marriage sanctioned by

God which joins one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture.

We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to only occur between a man and a woman who are

married to each other. We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be

engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman.

WE BELIEVE that any form of sexual immorality (including adultery, fornication,

homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, pornography, and attempting to

change one’s biological sex or otherwise acting upon any disagreement with one’s biological

sex) is sinful and offensive to God.

WE BELIEVE that in order to preserve the function and integrity of the church as the local Body

of Christ, and to provide a biblical role model to the church members and the community, it is

imperative that all persons employed by the church in any capacity, or who serve as volunteers,

should abide by and agree to this Statement of Faith and conduct themselves accordingly.

WE BELIEVE that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their

sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ.

WE BELIEVE that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and

dignity. Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be

repudiated and are not in accord with scripture nor the doctrines of the church.

The Statement of Faith does not exhaust the extent of our faith. The Bible itself, as the inspired

and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the

proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe.
